That area of CA is probably in the 15% unemployment range. Prices for homes should only go up if people have jobs and can afford what they cost now... which is unlikely.

My co-worker texts and drives because he thinks "he can handle it" and he can "multi-task". He thinks most other people are bad drivers who can't do those things he can do. He's special, just ask him. I don't bother telling him he's an idiot because it would be like telling a brick wall.

Two income family making almost $90k per year. I was taking some community college courses a couple semesters ago and I filled out the FASFA (financial aid). I was awarded the BOG (board of governor) fee waiver so I paid no tuition.

In my case, I'll need to get my kids vehicles for them to get part time jobs while in school or summer. They can't make enough to afford insurance, gas and maintenance. It's cheaper if they sit at home.
